Setting a cabochon should be as easy as 1, 2, 3. Buy a cabochon, a mounting to fit and viola! Umm – no. First, if you want to set a cabochon quickly and easily, make sure it is calibrated. A calibrated cabochon is one that is proportional top-to-bottom and left-to-right. There are a number of standard cabochon sizes such as 30mm x 22mm and 25mm x 18mm.
